What Do Php And Mysql Have To Do With Joomla!?

I know how to use Joomla! but I`m not sure what MySQL and PHP have to do with Joomla! When I used it, someone helped me install it and helped me convert my html into Joomla! Do I need to know PHP to do that?

It is a hard installation if you are anyone who does not know php and mysql, the basically are there to store all the infoemation in tables and so you , well basically you don’t need to know any of that ONCE YOU HAVE THE SYSTEM WORKING

Joomla is a Content Management System designed for non techies to build their websites and maintain the content of their website.
The content include the write up as well images and other files.
Now as long as you want to add new menu items or change the existing web pages or adding new web pages, you don’t need to know about PHP and MySQL.
In case if you want to migrate the site to some new server or you want to take back up or upgrade to the latest Joomla Version, you may need to know about LAMP stack.
Joomla is built on top of Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP.
But to Install and Setup Joomla, you need to know about MySQL and PHP.
