For A Joomla Website Why Would Images Show Not Appearing In Internet Explorer?

When viewed in Internet Explorer red xs appear as if images are missing.
They are appearing over the logo and the web banner image. Why would this be and what is the fix?

Use the meta tag between the head tags for search engines:
Add your keywords and use a comma after each. DO NOT repeat same ones over and over or you will be penalized by the SEs.
