Joomla Question: Is “search Engine Friendly” An Important Extension In A Site?

I am trying to use one but it’s very annoying. Apart from the fact that it makes your pages apear without the “lt=AnMyhsdYf6COXXiQVRYyZd” does it helps your site be on the top of search engines ?
