Online School Using Joomla?

I need to make an online school using joomla, so basically I would need the following functions:
1. a registration screen
2. a log in screen
3. I would need to put some videos
4. some pdf files
my question is, is it possible to do these using joomla? if so, what softwares do I need and how hard is it gonna be? Im not really good with databasing so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks alot

although online schools are good, i think we also need human interaction which we can only get from offline schools -::
well, i was enrolled at an online school and the curriculum is quite great .
Joomla will take you about 6 months to get. There are loads of modules (mambots) you will need to sift through them all.
You will also need to learn some database conectivity.
Alternativlely consider Drupal (drupal.org) which is similar to joomla.
As peteh said - use Moodle. Moodle has been designed by and for educators and you do not need to be a database whiz or coding expert to use it. It also has a very supportive community of users who all understand the needs of online education.
Login and Registration are native to Joomla, and I would imagine that you can tie them into something into it…but…why bother when it is already done for you?http://moodle.org/
Moodle is a different CMS than Joomla, but it is specifically designed for creating an Online School.
