On The New Joomla 1.5 Version, How Do You Change The Thing That Says….?

I have installed Joomla 1.5 onto my website and there is an annoying comment on the top saying ‘welcome to the front page’. I can’t figure how to get rid of it. It also says ‘welcome to the frontpage’ on the tab. Can someone please help me, ty, Matt :)

You can change that in the “Front Page Manager” under the Content menu. Select the content item that is the front page item and change the title of it.

While In the Admin back end, on the Control Panel and
1) Click on Menu Manager
2) Click on the Menu Items icon next to the Main Menu listing.
3) When the menu item list shows, click on the link for “Home”
4) When the settings for the Home menu item appear, over to the right, click on “Parameters - System” to pull down more options.
You will see a field there for “Page Title”. Enter whatever you want here to take the place of “welcome to the front page”
