Ok i basically wanna set up a website with joomla and i would like some steps to follow on how to set it up ive downloaded joomla onto my desktop but like its all files and what do you open?ive a web hosting site 365.where do i go from there?xxxxxxx

It’s a steep learning curve…
Your best bet is to find someone willing to tutor you who’s already learned.
You need to upload all of the files to the root directory of your site, and run the file that says INSTALL (run it by opening it in your browser).
From there, it’s a bit tricky. Try to set it up with default values, it’ll save you loads of headaches.
Also, if you really get in over your head and can’t find a way out, you can always consider WordPress instead of Joomla. Joomla is great, don’t get me wrong. It just has a steeper learning curve than WordPress.
