Joomla Question???

Hi All,
Please does somebody tell me, which one i use, Joomla 1.5 or 1.0, i see its have different, and i confuse which one i use, i did use 1.5 but its not have things that 1.0 have, so please tell me if you did use joomla, which one i use????

I’m not certain what things you’re looking for in 1.5 that 1.0 had. Version 1.5 is the most recent version and, if you’re starting a new site, I would definitely recommend going with the latest version of 1.5.x.
I think you should use 1.5 because you can turn on something called legacy mode which enable you to use 1.5 and 1.0 addons, extensions and themes

Unfortunately, even though Joomla 1.5 offers a legacy mode to help with backwards compatibility, a lot of the plugins don’t work with it.
In order to decide which version of Joomla you should use you need to work out what you want to have on your web site and which extensions you will need to accomplish your goals. Sit down with a bit of paper and write down your requirements. Then go onto the extensions directory and look for plugins that should suit your needs. If everything you want is available for Joomla 1.5 then there is no reason not to install 1.5. However, if you want to use plugins that have not yet been released with 1.5-compatible versions, then stick to Joomla 1.0.x.
