i really dont even know much about web design. i used a free web builder to put up a free 3 pg site. and thats the extent of my knowledge. I dont know why i should pay a company to get bandwidth i can get for free. dont i just want to buy a domain name and go from there ? do i need to buy the space ? what are my options ?

    Dude, your options are school and hard work.
    Learn about the whole thing you are trying to do.
    You are passionate about wanting to do this, channel that and learn, there are lots of really good training tools online.
    Push for learning, your not going to it at the moment.

    I agree with the above post-just get an account with Dreamhost. Unless you have a t1 internet connection or something, I wouldn’t try to host it yourself because it’ll be slow. They’re cheap, and they give you enought space and bandwidth to put up a hundred sites. No, I don’t work there. I’m just a happy customer. They give you a free domain with your account, too.
