How To Install Joomla?

I have downloaded it, extracted it, but there is no installer or exe file. Just a bunch of php files. There is a file folder called installer but I cannot run anything in it, again just php or html files. What is php file anyway.

Upload the directory with Joomla in it to your web site. Then use your webbrowser to go to the setup.php, install.php or whatever it’s called. Follow the on-screen instructions.
I set Joomla up a while ago but it was automatic through my cPanel.
That folder needs to be a directory in your FTP Server, Then i think you have to go to yoursite/joomla/installer.php and that runs the installation i think,
When i done it all it did was add a joomla directory to my server and im sure i had to go to the installer.php
PHP is basically html but better for dynamic sites. If you have a site that is updated regularly it will be alot easier to use PHP or CSS than HTML.
