How Much Would You Charge For A Joomla Site If You Were About To Use A Free Template?

January 19, 2010 under FAQ

How long is a book? :-)
Seriously, to set up a simple joomla site with a canned template, only a couple of extensions, and three or four topics doesn’t take a lot of labor (if you know the moves). I suppose you could get it done in eight hours or so. What do you charge for your work?
If it’s going to have lots of good stuff … commenting on posts, a calendar module, a picture gallery, multiple topic areas, RSS feeds, lots of people logging in to contribute and edit content, automated backups, a site map, and so forth, it will take a lot longer.

  1. Ollie says:

If I was building it, and there were no changes in the template, there is still a lot of setup to do.
Could be anywhere from $100 up.
    Why do you ask?
