How Can I Make Some Of My Joomla Website Urls Password Protected Without Someone Being A “member”?

December 29, 2009 under FAQ

I have used an outside source (website) that lets me type in the particular url I wanted password protected but with joomla it does not work unless someone is a member of my page. When I disable the page the site module works only for a couple of minutes and goes away so I cannot show an exclusive URL to someone. I also cannot preview a different template other than default when page is disabled what can I do?

I’m not quite sure, as I have no experience with Joomla(?).
But, from my experience as a Webs.com user, you need to sign up for premium.
    Sorry!

If the person doesn’t know the login and password, how will they log in? (Anyone who types in the valid login and the valid password is - as far as the program is concerned - that member.)
