    Hi:
Most of the open source CMS solutions are based on either LAMP or WAMP architectures. And DotNetNuke is an ASP based open source CMS.
Now if you are new to ASP and have to learn ASP for maintaining a CMS, I would advice you to look at Linux and PHP based CMS rather than ASP based.
Joomla is Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP based framework and easy for a non-programmer to manage and maintain. Even its installation is quite simple if you understand what is a database and how to give user name and password for database.
So If you are grand new try to get acquainted with LAMP and Joomla CMS. There are lots of add-ons for Joomla which can be used to make your website into a portal over a period of time.

Mambo is outdated - the release of Joomla took it’s place. I don’t have experience using DotNetNuke or Post-Nuke, but I use Joomla on a couple of sites and I’m very happy with it. There are a lot of add on modules and components, it’s very easy to use, their support forums are active, and I’ve never had much trouble just doing a web search for specific things I’m looking for and coming up with the answers for them. I also like that it was included with my hosting package, so installation was a breeze. I’d definitely recommend it.
